Tick Blend – Lavender, Geranium, Lemongrass, Turmeric and fractionated coconut oil.
The major chemical components in the blend for insect repelling:
Aldehydes found in Lemongrass
Alcohols found in Lavender and Geranium
Ketones found in Turmeric
Turmeric essential oil at a 2.5% dilution prevented the ticks from climbing onto the dog and was active
for longer after application.
Cedarwood, Geranium and Lemongrass essential oils at 10% affected tick reproduction by preventing
oviposition and hatchability of the eggs by 95%.
